Week 9 – Mother’s Day

This week’s theme was your Mother’s Day inspiration, which to me was a little difficult as there is so many things that I’m thankful for. So instead this week I decided to take a pic of the gift that more than 80% of Mums want on this magnificent day.

Yep, a sleep in! I decided the photo of the closed bedroom door was a better(safer) shot than a sleeping mother.

Week 8 – grind

it’s no secret that my first love was skateboarding, I’ve shaped my life around its influences and after a 20 year hiatus I’m loving every moment riding and most of all those moments that I get to do it with my children. As such, I organised a few good friends and their sons to have a skate this morning, all the boys are the same age and have differing levels of skill  and all Dads are roughly the same age and again with different skill levels but skateboarding is a great leveller, sharing a mutual love of the board normalises any differentiation and bonds us.

There isn’t many more sounds that I like than the sound of a grind, that’s what my good friend Paul here is doing at Thornleigh Skatepark or as we call it “the Brickpit” this very morning, beautiful weather, awesome company and a great time had by all!!!
